Legoland Florida: A Lot of Brick-Filled Fun!!

Welcome back! Today I’m writing about Legoland Florida—two parts in particular. Heartlake City, home of the Lego Friends, and Miniland USA, a world of Lego-sized landmarks and cities from around the country.

First off, Heartlake City. Here, there is one ride, a stage show, three shops, and a whole lot of fun!

The video above shows me on the ride called “Mia’s Riding Adventure.” When you get on, you sit on one of the horses lining the edge of a big disk. Then the disk starts slowly moving back and forth on the track, while at the same time it’s slowly spinning. It gets faster and faster until you reach the top of the track. It seems a bit scary at first, but then it turns out to be pretty fun.

Heartlake City also contains a life-size statue (made of Legos, of course) of each Lego Friends character: Mia, Andrea, Emma, Stephanie, and Olivia. Tucked off to one side is an interactive fountain that squirts water and plays music.

The shop called the Heartlake Mall is filled with Lego Friends sets of all different shapes and sizes, and right next door is an ice cream place and candy shop! Yum!!

Now on to Miniland USA. Did you know that Miniland contains over 32 million Lego bricks?! With many models of cities from across the country, such as Las Vegas and San Francisco, you’ll never want to leave!

Many of the Lego re-creations of U.S. cities and landmarks have a push button or two. Those might make pieces move in the display or even squirt water at you!

Miniland also has little information plaques that tell you about the cities and their landmarks. Its Washington Monument model, for example, weighs 129 pounds. That sounds like a lot, but the real Washington Monument weighs 81,210 tons! Miniland also has a Star Wars section, with many famous scenes from the popular movies.

So check Legoland Florida out! I had fun, and so will you!!
